Surgical Referral Practice

Peasebrook Equine Clinic is fully equipped to accept all types of equine surgical cases. We have a spacious operating theatre and two padded recovery boxes. Patients are housed within the Clinic in immaculate stables. Hayley Jubb, one of our Veterinary Nurses, also lives within the Clinic and Tim Galer, the Practice Surgeon lives in the adjoining property.

We have an outstanding success rate with surgical colics due to Tim's surgical expertise, Fleur's skill as an anaesthetist  and attention to detail with our aftercare. Our arthroscopy equipment has recently been updated to the very best imaging system and is in constant use for OCD surgery, chip fractures and septic joints. Upper airway surgery contributes significantly to our caseload. Geoff Lane comes to perform the tie-back surgeries, Henry Tremaine does the majority of the sinus interventions and Tim Phillips does the more technical orthopaedic surgeries including fracture repairs.
 

Although the majority of our surgery is carried out under general anaesthesia, we also do some standing procedures on sedated horses. These include dorsal spinous process resection or "kissing spine" surgery, various laperoscopic techniques, sinus surgery, and some gynaecological operations.
